| The United Cancer Research Society was formed in 1973 for the purpose of raising
funds for cancer research. We provide grants to the finest cancer research institutions
and universities in the country, including the following: USC/Norris
Comprehensive Cancer Center, Los Angeles All recipients of our grants adhere to the strictest guidelines, including no research involving animals or animal products. Funding for these research grants and public services come from the following sources:
Another mainstay of support for our research grants has been our household discards program in which our trucks pick up useable household items from individuals throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada. In turn, these items are processed and sold through a thrift store program, providing a steady flow of funds that are utilized in cancer research. United Cancer Research Society is a nonprofit corporation that is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. I encourage you to give serious consideration to the avenues outlined in these pages through which you can join our efforts in providing "Hope for the Future." --Edward Jabo, Jr., President |
